Nowadays, the dental society is very successful since the sophisticated and modern technology usage, thus it bring many advantages to the dentist and patient. Accurate Three Dimensional Calibration Simulator (A3DCaS) is an enhancement of Dental Measurement System (DEMS) beta version. The research objective is to develop 3D tooth simulator, to enhance the DEMS in aspect of measuring height and to apply 3D modeling technique in dentistry learning purpose. A3DCaS has been developed as educational software to be used by the dentist or lecturer, to teach the dentistry students on how tooth decay treatment in dental clinic. Previously, DEMS support dental measurement through the usage of 2D image of the tooth. It gives the dentist advantage to measure the size of the tooth but the height of the tooth is not calculated. However, the dentist still faces some difficulty to measure and predict the shape of tooth in producing the tooth decay. A3DCaS overcome DEMS problem by offer functionality to calculate the height of tooth in order to create a 3D tooth model. In addition, it provides the calibration and measurement to allow the staff and students IIUM to measure the tooth decay based on image. This system is developed by using the Visual Studio that integrated with Illustrator, which is the engine of 3d modeling process.
