This thesis deals with the design and development of actuated cover plate for a thermoforming equipment. The objective of the thesis is to develop the general procedures for completing the project consisting of mechanical, electrical and software components. These components was then developed steps by steps in order to complete the model development based on the requirement of the project. Important factors regarding the project was taken into main consideration to meet the objectives of the project itself. The structural three-dimensional solid modeling of heating cover for thermoforming equipment was developed using Solid Edge software while Proteus software was used for the development of electrical circuit. To complete the project development, Arduino software was used for programming purpose. The thesis also shows the analysis using finite element analysis techniques which is required to predict the fatigue life and identify the critical locations of the mechanical component. The finite element model of the components was analyzed using the linear static approach which is available in Solid Edge software. The project has achieving its main objective which is to develop the most suitable mechanical approach to control the oven temperature
