The treatment of wastewater has become an absolute necessity. Innovative, cheap and effective methods of purifying and cleaning wastewater before discharging into any other water systems are needed. Wastewater has been treated for multipurpose such as drinking, washing, and sanitizing. However, the cost to treat wastewater can be much more expensive. Therefore, phytoremediation, a system which is cheaper and environmental friendly compared to other system was introduced. Phytoremediation includes several processes namely, phytoextraction, phytodegradation, rhizofiltration, phytostabilization and phytovolatilization. Bioremediation and phytoremediation is done in phytogreen zone which has aquatic plants in that area. The main aim of the study was to determine the efficiency of bioremediation and phytoremediation in treating wastewater. This study was also carried out to determine the absorption and adsorption rate of interaction between plants and contaminants in zone A and zone B. Monochoria Vaginalis, and Limnocharis flava have been studied to investigate and evaluate their potential in phytoremediation technology.. These plants act as a phytoremediation agents. Wastewater samples are collected in oxidation pond at Taman Anggerik according to several points. The sampling points are located in phytogreen zone. The samples from phytogreen zone have been tested on ten parameters referred to the “Standard Method for the Examination Water and Wastewater”. It has been suggested that the aquatic plants would be potential for phytoremediation. The sampling points are located in phytogreen zone. The samples from phytogreen zone have been tested on ten parameters referred to the “Standard Method for the Examination Water and Wastewater” (21th Edition) by American Public Health Associate (APHA, 2005). Analysis of data was performed by using a Paired-Sample T Test. The significant (P<0.05) studies shown the difference in value of monitored ten parameters which indicates the data obtained is accurate. The results are according to the parameters listed. The parameters tested are Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD₅ ), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Suspended Solid, Oil and Grease, Potassium and Ammonical Nitrogen. The average percentage removal for BOD₅ is about 35.47% while for COD, it is about 3.42%. Besides, the average percentage removal for suspended solid is 22.32% while for Oil and grease, the average percentage removal is about 35.15%. Moreover, the average percentage removal for Phosphorus is about 39.13%. Lastly, the average percentage removal for ammonical nitrogen is 23.34%. The absorption and adsorption rate can be determined through the result of each parameter. Most of the contaminants are successfully removed when the wastewater flow through the phytogreen zone
