Cyber attack is a harmful act that attempts to harm, steal, or disrupt digital life in general. Computer viruses, data breaches, Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, and other attack vectors are examples of cyber attacks. It has become an especially critical issue in the world of Internet security. Governments and organizations throughout the world are working hard to secure their data by employing a number of tools and procedures to assure continued functioning, whereas adversaries utilize harmful software such as botnets, viruses, and trojans to breach security and infiltrate critical data. This research aims to analyse the pattern of attack attempt in 7 sectors in Malaysia which are consultant, corporate, ministry, state government, food & beverage, finance and deb collector by using time series analysis which are Box-Jenkins model and Exponential Smoothing model. Then, the top 3 identified threat actor is mapped into mitre attack framework to give more insight into the analysis process. Hence, this research helps organizations understand the behavior and attack models for threat actors as well as cyber attempt trends which provides significant insights into vulnerabilities that may be used to reinforce the network against future attacks. |
