Summary, etc. The fundamental goal of this research endeavour is to acquire an extensive understanding of the functioning mechanism that occurs during the development of Cu nanostructures protected with PTFE layer on PET thin film. The research employed a microwave-assisted technique to produce Cu nanostructures at various concentration levels of the precursor in order to investigate how the average particle diameter distribution (dm) of the Cu nanostructures affected the Cu-nano thin film that was manufactured. Moreover, PTFE-coated thin films comprising Cu nanostructures were produced by employing the Mayer rod coating technique. The produced Cu nanostructures have a pH of 6, and their dm ranges between 5 to 20nm, while the range value of Eg is from 2 to 5.35eV, which increases as the concentration increases. Then, the transparency of Cu nano-PTFE/PET thin film is up to 83%, proving that thin films have great transparency when the concentration level of Cu increases. While, the most prominent and broad peak seen in FTIR spectra at around 3296 cm−1 is attributed with unbound –OH stretching originating from PVP, EG, and H2O solutions, which exhibited overlapping characteristics. The XRD pattern indicates the presence of two crystals, known as pure Cu and Cu2O. This work elucidates that the existence of diminutive crystallites in low crystalline films, which are imperceptible, results in a more polished surface and increased surface space for interactions between Cu nanostructures and PET. Moreover, an assessment of the influence of Cu nanostructures at various dimensions on a thin film coated with PTFE shown that the resilience of the PTFE-coated thin film is not significantly distinct from that of the uncoated thin film. The FIB investigation yielded high-intensity values, suggesting a robust correlation between PTFE and the Cu nanostructure. In addition, the presence of hydrophobic PTFE leads to a little increase in the contact angle of static water. This may be attributed to the influence of the PTFE monomer structural layer, which is also affected by the thickness of the PTFE. The presence of Cu nanostructures in the PTFE layer leads to a consistent and stable resistance, which does not change the original characteristics of the pure Cu nanostructures. Additionally, Cu nano-PET and Cu nano/PTFE-PET had lateral conductivity values ranging from 3.44 to 7.81x10-8 Scm-1 and 3.97 to 4.96x10-8 Scm-1, respectively. When the average Rsh for Cu nano/PTFE-PET thin films rises from 6.35 to 8.59, transparency reduces compared to bare Cu nano-PET thin films. The presence of a PTFE layer improves mobility and decreases resistance, allowing for more contact between the layers. Foremost, this investigation resides in the manner in which the performance is modulated by the intrinsic interaction that occurs between the Cu nanostructure layer and PTFE. Present research assists in the identification of the optimal configuration for achieving a balance between conductivity and transparency. The design of materials with optimal electrical performance is facilitated by an understanding of how the sheet resistance varies with the film's structure, such as the thickness of the Cu layer and the distribution within PTFE.
