Bibliography, etc. note Marine wave energy represents a vast yet underutilized renewable resource, and piezoelectric energy harvesting (PEH) offers a promising avenue for sustainable exploitation. Nevertheless, there are limitations in the design of multi-blade piezoelectric devices to harvest energy from the ocean surface with the evolving dynamics of marine environments. Moreover, the development of a complex system for modeling energy extraction from ocean applications, which integrates control circuits for environmental sustainability, remains unexplored. This study aims to optimize multi-blade flexible piezoelectric designs using ANSYS simulations, validate the impact of synchronized switch harvesting techniques on energy output, and assess the performance and scalability of a rectifier-less circuit for efficient and sustainable wave energy harvesting. The harvester employs bimorph piezoelectric devices to convert mechanical vibrations into electrical energy effectively. Advanced modeling using ANSYS finite element simulations, coupled with the Taguchi method and ANOVA, identified the optimal configurations of blade length, thickness, and number to maximize energy output. The model involved validation using additional circuit management on the Synchronized Switch Harvesting on Inductor (SSHI) method to generate energy output. A new mathematical model was developed to simulate the harvester's behavior, focusing on frequency conversion management, with validation through ANSYS data ensuring high predictive accuracy. To overcome conventional PEH system limitations caused by parasitic capacitance and reactive power losses, this study integrates of SSHI and frequency up-conversion (FC) techniques. In addition, the environmental impact and scalability, including circuit integration for energy solutions—are assessed for their suitability in small-scale off-grid power systems in remote communities. These innovations resulted in a 25% improvement in energy conversion efficiency, as demonstrated through MATLAB simulations under varying sea wave heights and amplitudes. The research further includes the fabrication of three prototypes, achieving a resonance frequency of 160.3 Hz using blade dimensions of 10 × 300 × 0.2 mm with piezoelectric (PZT) surfaces. The prototypes highlight the significant relationship between blade design parameters and energy harvesting performance. This particulars study shows that the contribution of multi-blade design has potential to generated the electricity from marine environments with extra circuit management control. This thesis not only advances the field of renewable energy through optimized piezoelectric systems but also supports environmental sustainability by providing an efficient and adaptable energy solution for remote marine applications. The findings underscore the potential of FHP energy harvesters to bridge the gap between theoretical models and practical implementation, contributing to the broader adoption of clean energy technologies.
