Summary, etc. This research focuses on first-year university students in Chengde, exploring the application and impact of TikTok in disseminating cultural legacy information. The rapid development of digital technology has transformed the way cultural legacy is disseminated. Despite abundant resources, China still lacks effective communication platforms and clear audience targeting. Generation Z students, with limited attention spans, prefer concise, interactive content on new media platforms. This presents both opportunities and challenges for cultural legacy communication. This research adopted a quantitative research method to investigate the usage intention, usage behavior, and satisfaction of first-year students at Chengde University in disseminating cultural legacy information through questionnaires, aiming to assess the effectiveness of TikTok in cultural legacy information dissemination and to explore its applicability as an information dissemination tool. The survey questionnaire is based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), and the Uses and Gratifications Theory. A five-point Likert scale was used to measure respondents' attitudes. After a pre-test confirmed the reliability and validity of the questionnaire, a total of 434 valid responses were collected to analyze the factors influencing students' acceptance of cultural legacy information on TikTok and their overall satisfaction. The results indicate that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions significantly affect students' intention to use and actual usage behavior. The satisfaction survey reveals that students experience the highest satisfaction with TikTok's technology, followed by personal and content satisfaction, while social satisfaction is the lowest. The study shows that TikTok plays a positive role in enhancing students’ awareness and interest in cultural legacy, serving as an effective tool for cultural legacy dissemination. At the same time, this research provides empirical evidence for the protection and dissemination of cultural legacy. It suggests that educators develop high-quality learning resources and combine online and offline activities; policymakers improve supportive and regulatory mechanisms; and platforms optimize technology to enhance interactivity and recommendation functions, jointly promoting the transmission and protection of cultural legacy in the digital era. This study offers theoretical support and practical reference for promoting cultural legacy dissemination and protection through short-video platforms, which is of great significance.
