Commonly the pipelines of water distribution system can be divided into three functional categories which are trunk mains, principal feeder mains and distribution mains. This study presents analysis of pipeline system that focusing on residential house at Taman Seri Mahkota Arnan, Gambang, Pahang. This study cover on water demand of the study area, flow analysis of the pipeline system and the maximum of development can be build by the developer and the water storage tank can cater. Existing residential and other development need to be considered in the analysis so the current water demand of the area can be defmed. It is often necessary to decide the type of pipe and diameter of pipe used in the existing pipeline system. The analysis for pipeline system used the Hardy Cross Method that is the easy method for manual calculation and the area have to be assume as flat area (Gradient = 0°) and the head loss is not being considered. In the real work, for area that has more than 4 loops, the analysis by using software will be applied. All the data such as area plan view, water tank capacity and maximum water demand has been collected at local authority such as Jabatan Bekalan Air, Kuantan (Daerah) and Majlis Perbandaran Kuantan (MPK). Based on the analysis, some of the areas in Taman Seri Mahkota Arnan do not meet the water demand that probably leads to water crisis. If there is water crisis in this area, the water storage tank still can supply for all area maximum in one day. -Author |
