Student Time Management Application is developed to manage student time. There are many existing time management application. However, the existing applications do not determine the priority of task. The main problem that student face is student does not know which task has the higher priority when there are many tasks given at the same time. Hence, this project is carried out to develop a prototype for student time management by considering 5 criteria (credit hour, percentage of assignment, deadline, estimated time require, and task status) in prioritizing student tasks. Prototyping methodology is used in implementing in this system design. In the first process of prototyping, thirty respondents were randomly selected to complete a survey questionnaire to identify the basic requirements needed. Then, the factors (credit hour, percentage of assignment, deadline of task, estimation of time required to complete the task and status of task) that will affect the priority will be inserted by user, analyze and calculate by the application using algorithm and produce the final output which determines the weight of priority of each task. Next, using reversed selection sort concept, the application will sort the task accordingly after determine the priority of each task. Testing process is done based on the calculation of the 5 criteria and the result show 90% of the result is logic and satisfied. Inconclusion, this project is expected to help student manage their time by determining the priority of a task based on the five criteria mentioned. |
