Today advance technology have impact to construction industries in Malaysia is going from strength to strength, with a whole host of newly-announced project promising to increase activity that showed the industries are rapidly growth year by year. To achieve the good in quality of the construction it consist of three important component, first is scope of work followed by the cost for the construction and lastly is time that needed to complete the construction. The proper cost estimation, monitor and control are the key point of success of construction. Nowadays estimator still rely on the 2D CAD drawing to perform the material take off which lack of information that required by estimator. The uses of BIM tools as a model based on estimation and materials takeoff are clear state in this research by compared it with the manual method to perform the material take-off. This is because by using manual approaches contributed to miscalculation problem. This research also can be a sample to use Revit software to perform full material takeoff for architectural 3D model for the lab building. Continue, the research are until providing the price for quantity survey based on architect 3D model that model by using Revit software. The methodology for this research is from modelling 3D architect for lab building until conduct cost estimation for architecture component in the building. Overall in this study, researcher, performing material takeoff and cost estimation by using BIM based on 3D architect model for architect component only. |
