Summary, etc. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of fly ash to remove any contaminant in rainwater). The physical characteristics include size, volume, and the type required to effectiveness of fly ash to remove any contaminant. This study uses coal fly ash measure the effectiveness to remove contaminant in rainwater. The size of the fly ash is between 0.5 μm to 300 μm. The results of this analysis can be used to find either the fly ash could remove any contaminant in rainwater or not. The findings may be able to help reduce on water supply issues in Tasik Bera. For this research, it covers 6 parameter which; Total Suspended Solid (TSS), Total Coliform, E-coli, Turbidity, pH and Heavy Metal. The result from the experiment show that the effectiveness of fly ash to adsorb and remove contaminant. As a conclusion, Fly ash has been proved that can neutralize water and remove contaminant in water in this experiment.
