Housing contributes to the accomplishment of physical and moral health of a country. It is also inspires the social stability, the work efficiency and the growth of the individuals. However, housing construction has faced many encounters to achieve a success project. The issue of abandoned housing project is an unsettle issue in Malaysia. Therefore, the aims for this research is to revealed the economical factors that lead to the abandonment of housing project. Second, to study the effects and impact of abandoned project for house buyer , socio economy and socio environment perspective according to general and other causes. In order to study this issue, the objectives was set out to identify the cost and lost of abandoned projects in Pahang and what is the most contributing factors to the cause of abandoned housing project and the impact. The methodology for this research is quantitative research which is use a questionnaire survey. Targeted respondent is all the parties who had an experienced managing abandoned housing. The result can be concluded that economic crisis is the most relevent factor influenced to the issue of abandoned housing. The Relative Importnat Index (RII) method were use for the analysis. As a solution to this research, the financial management need to be study wider and improves it on some area. It is important to know how to manage the cost in construction project to make sure problem like not enough budget for materials can be avoid. Sufficient budget and good management can be decrease the percentage of this abandoned problems.
