Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) is a statutory organisation that provides various products and services to the public especially to those involved in the business industry. The role of SSM is to ensure that the business environment in the country is in favour to anyone who wants to do business and as we all know, every application for a license must follow the criteria set by the local authorities in every state in Malaysia. However, there are some criteria that are difficult for applicants to follow the criteria that have been set. The objectives of this study are to understand the requirements for the issuance of licenses issued by local authorities by using descriptive approach as well as to predict the usage rate of local authorities that are using the Company Profile/Business Profile in Malaysia by using Logistic Regression Model. This study also includes the visualization on the analysis of Company Profile/Business Profile and Attestation of Company Good Standing (ACGS) by using Power BI. The data involved in this study are both primary and secondary data. For the primary data, a survey will be conducted regarding the Company Profile/Business Profile and ACGS and will be distributed to all local authorities in Malaysia. As for the secondary data, the requirements of licensing were extracted from the respective local authorities’ websites. According to the results, local authorities have developed specific requirements that must be satisfied in order to be issued a license. Although there are some differences in these requirements between local authorities, there are several requirements that are common, such as submitting identification documents, location plans, and floor plans. The probability of usage rate for Company Profile/Business Profile is determined to be 97.52%. The finding is further supported by the Power BI visualisations, which represents that the majority of local authorities are aware of Company Profile/Business Profile, use it as a requirement for license approval, and consider it satisfies the licensing requirements. These findings can help SSM and local authorities in their decision-making processes related to licensing requirements and the usage of Company Profile/Business Profile and ACGS.
