This study explores the impact of ergonomic risk factors, particularly awkward postures, on musculoskeletal discomfort in office workers. Through a combination of observational assessments and participant surveys, the research identifies key ergonomic hazards in typical office environments and examines their relationship with discomfort levels among workers. The study utilizes established tools such as the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire (NMQ) and the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) to evaluate discomfort and posture. Findings indicate that poor ergonomic practices, such as prolonged sitting in awkward postures, contribute significantly to musculoskeletal discomfort, particularly in the neck, back, and shoulders. The study highlights the importance of improving workplace ergonomics to reduce these risks. Based on these findings, the study proposes recommendations for future research, including broader studies across diverse populations, longitudinal tracking of ergonomic risks, experimental interventions, and the integration of advanced technologies to enhance ergonomic assessments. The results aim to contribute to the development of more effective strategies for improving employee health and well-being in office settings
