To prepare biodegradable flower pots, three of the materials were selected to develop biodegradable flower pots. Therefore, there are several steps need to be taken to develop biodegradable flower pots. Firstly, all the materials need to go through pre-treatment by being dried in an oven to avoid being easily harmed for 8 hours at 100°C. Then, sugarcane bagasse can be produced by extracted sugarcane and coconut fibre extracted from the outer shell of a coconut. The glue will be prepared once the sample preparation is done. The function of the glue is to make sure all the samples can be combined to produce one mixture. Next, the formulation of biodegradable flower pots will be conducted with a few ratios based on (CW: SB, CW: CF, CW: SB: CF). After that, it will undergo a drying process which is using an oven for 4 hours at 70°C. The biodegradable flower pots will be analysed based on physical, mechanical, and chemical properties. However, the objective of this study, to study the mixing proportions using CW, SB, and CF in making biodegradable flower pots has been achieved. Based on analysis, biopot with ratio CW: SB: CF is the best biopot in terms of water absorption, compression testing, and plant growth properties. In the future, these biodegradable flower pots may provide a better opportunity to produce eco-friendly products.
