Dissertation note: Final Year Report (Bachelor Degree Of Occupational Safety And Health) -- Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah - 2025 Abstract: Food Manufacturing is a critical industry because its deals with heat that can lead to fire risk at workplace. This study examines the fire safety knowledge, awareness and practice of workers in a food manufacturing industry in Kelantan, Malaysia. This study used cross-sectional study design with structured questionnaires to assess Knowledge awareness and practice of 104 employees, and a separate fire safety management survey answered by employers of the company. SPSS was used for data analysis, which included descriptive statistics and Fisher’s exact test for testing the association between demographic variables and levels of KAP. Results indicated that most workers had high levels of fire safety knowledge (76.0%), awareness (64.4%), and practice (86.5%). Then, Significant associations were observed between knowledge with variables such as gender(p=0.00), educational attainment(p=0.00), and job position(p=0.00). For the Awareness levels were similarly influenced by these demographic factors(p=0.00), while practice levels were significantly related to age(p=0.00) and work experience(p=0.00). The evaluation of fire safety management revealed that appropriate safety measures in terms of alarm systems, smoke detectors, escape plans, fire drills, and safety personnel were established in the facility. Hence, the study conclude that the worker have good KAP level and the companies need to maintain their great work and focus to the worker especially with low KAP level.
