This study examines how driving behavior and road safety are influenced by mental health issues, in particular stress, anxiety and depression among e-hailing drivers in Kuala Lumpur. With the rapid rise in the gig economy sector and increasing reliance on e-hailing services, driver safety is becoming a growing worry. Data were collected from 110 e-hailing drivers using structured questionnaires, assessing their mental health and self-reported driving behavior. The data reveals a high prevalence of mental health issues, notably severe anxiety and moderate stress among the individuals. Statistical analyses such as Pearson correlation and multiple regression indicated that mental health issues, especially depression, have a significant impact on unsafe driving behaviors such as traffic violations, errors, and lapses. This research highlights the critical need for mental health interventions and support networks for e-hailing drivers to improve both driver welfare and public road safety
