Dissertation note: Project paper (Bachelor of Civil Engineering) -- Universiti Malaysia Pahang - 2007 Abstract: The weather station is a facility with instruments to make observations of atmospheric conditions in order to provide information to make weather forecast and to study the weather and climate. The function of weather stations is that to observe the current weather conditions. To install the weather station, the requirement that needed and guidelines standard must be know. For hydrology station set up at UMP, Vantage Pro-2 and ISS has been use. Using the data that collected and analyze, future preparation in natural disaster such as flood or drought season can be done. The data collected for wind, temperature, humidity and rainfall. Analyze the data using Microsoft Excel and Weather Link Software and compare the results that obtain with another station. Data collection from hydrology station will be analyze and produce onto the graph, table and chart. From data analysis, the hydrology pattern for that area can be identify. Weather station was selected in this study at UMP in front of the block Z. After conducting the research on hydrology station that installed at UMP, it is obtain that the competency of weather instrument used affect the reading accuracy. The hydrology station is important to predict any possibilities of natural disaster occurrence and the required preparation can be done. -Author
