Dissertation note: Project paper (Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering)) -- Universiti Malaysia Pahang - 2013 Abstract: The Iportal Palapes Laut UMP is developed for Palapes Laut UMP organization usage and iportal is stands for information portal and it is a web based application. The main purpose of this system is to assist top management and staff officer of Palapes Laut UMP in order for them to manage the training record of the trainee (officer cadet). This system consists of four modules. Firstly module on Trainee and Staff Profile, Attendance of the Trainee, Calculation of Allowances and Short Messaging System(SMS) to the trainee mobile phone. The system is developed using SDLC methodology. A prototype was drafted and shown to the user before the coding started. Once the user agreed with the prototype, then the development work commenced. The system used PHP language, Dreamweaver as the interface design, MySQL as the database, and Xampp as the integration tools. For future usage, this system is highly recommended to be used by others Palapes Laut organization such as Palapes Laut UITM, Palapes Laut UMT, Palapes Laut UUM, Palapes Laut UPM and Palapes Laut USM.
