Project paper (Bachelor of Chemical Engineering) -- Kolej Universiti Kejuruteraan & Teknologi Malaysia - 2006
A gas density measurement model is built to model the relationships between primary output (density) and secondary outputs (temperature and flowrate) by using Principle Component Analysis (PCA) based on Air Flow Pressure Temperature Process Control Training System (AFPT 921) as the case study. The AFPT 921 plant is a process control training system that uses only air to simulate gas, vapour or steam. Air is readily available from a compressor. In general, density is one of the gas physical properties in which it is very much dependant on the pressure, temperature and flowrate of the given process under consideration. Due to this research, a new gas density measurement by using PCA is developed.
