This paper discussed about the project for Residential Access Control Security System Using Fingerprint Technology (RACSS). Residential Access Control Security System plays an important role to prevent unknown visitors to enter the residential area without justifiable from the residents and administrator. Based on history, many type of access control security systems are vulnerable to be hacked by unauthorized person and it is not secure. Fingerprint technology is used in developing this project to improve the security features of the entire premises. Fingerprint is unique and it will provide a high level security compare with other technique for this project. RACSS is built with Arduino UNO microcontroller, fingerprint reader, servo motor, led and buzzer. RACSS is developed by using Visual Studio with ASP.Net and Window Form with C# language and Arduino IDE with C language. The objective of this system is to propose residential access control security system using fingerprint technology, to design and develop a prototype system for residential access control security system to record and track the visitors and resident in a residential area that can be implemented for the Taman Alam Perdana, Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia residential area and to create the resident security fee payment module to record the payment from the residents, the develop system will send the notification to inform residents who did not pay the fees and remind them to pay immediately. Rational Unified Process (RUP) consist of four stages which are inception stage, elaboration stage, construction stage and lastly transition stage. Clients will be given the user acceptance test (UAT) after development of the system to ensure all the functions are work according to the requirement without any error. The UAT testing is to ensure the system have achieved the objective and able to solve the problem that happen in past.
