Dissertation note: Project paper (Bachelor of Civil Engineering) -- Universiti Malaysia Pahang - 2007 Abstract: Rivers are the life veins of all countries. They are the sources of our drinking water, food, irrigation water and hydro-electric power. The majority of major cities and towns are located beside rivers. Rivers along urban areas have recently received increase attention because of their valuable role of flood control, providing water to support aquatic life and a rest area for them to relaxing mind without going to rural area to find the :fresh look of nature. In the other hand it means river is suitable to be as one of recreation area for those that prefer kind of water sport activity. Development of river most knowingly as sustainable development that requires at river area to provide a better environment for tourist. This final year project is study the development at riverside to be part of recreation area to gain the revenues for tourism sector. The development is carry along based from the effectiveness of Cost benefit analysis to verify the profit and loss of a certain development and this development is doing under the privatization sector. -Author
