Dissertation note: Project Paper (Bachelors of Civil Engineering) -- Universiti Malaysia Pahang – 2017 Summary: This research is about the red light running that occurs in Pahang. There are three types of locations which are urban, sub urban and rural area. Each location will have two signalized intersection. The total of locations is six. The paper also analyzes the types of vehicle mostly doing red light, compare red light running behavior for different types of intersections and conditions such as peak hour and off peak, weekdays and weekend. Data on red light running such as total number that occur red light running in different locations and conditions were collected at 6 intersections in Pahang using observations . Based on the different intersections and conditions, we can determine that factors contribute in red light running. After the data was analyze, we can determine the most vehicles that occur red light running and suggest solutions to reduce occurrence of red light running. For the result, the most types of vehicles that occur red light running is motorcycle about 266 vehicles. For Comparison between urban, sub urban and rural, the result is the higher number of red light running for types of intersection is urban areas which are Jalan Wong Ah Jang and Jalan Dato Lim Hoe Lek about 287 of vehicle. Comparison between Peak Hour and Off Peak during Weekdays and weekends shows during peak hour the red light running occurs is higher. The comparison between weekdays and weekends is weekdays are higher than weekends.
