Dissertation note: Project paper (Bachelor of Civil Engineering) -- Universiti Malaysia Pahang - 2007 Abstract: For Origin-Destination (OD) survey, the aim of this research is to know a suitable method that can be applied in simulation process for vehicles counting through the types and the rate for vehicles using the four directions of junction. From the beginning, a research has been made on some other method such as real time and mobile computing environments using wireless networks. It is not suitable for the surrounding of the Kuantan-Gambang junction which at this area, there are no space to install the internet connection. So the approach that has been made is to use manual counting vehicles using four cameras which the device has special specification needs in capturing images at any suitable angle. Throughout this study, basic knowledge is needed is about the connection between the cameras devices and computer. Also vehicle counting using OD Table matrix is used to get clear picture of the origin and destination of the vehicles. Beside that the method chosen can reduce the cost. -Author
