This program shows that position tolerances are not arbitrary numbers pulled out of a hat. Rather, they are calculated values based on the actual size of the mating features on the respective parts including the fasteners themselves. When you have completed this program, you will be able to identify and calculate position tolerances for floating fastener application, fixed fastener applications and three piece assemblies.
