Skin allergies, including atopic dermatitis (AD), are chronic inflammatory conditions that significantly affect quality of life and pose treatment challenges. This study investigates the therapeutic potential of Kyllinga nemoralis extract, known for its anti-inflammatory properties, in a rat model of skin-induced allergy. AD-like lesions were induced using 2,4-dinitrochlorobenzene (DNCB), followed by treatment with K. nemoralis cream at 5% and 10% concentrations. Key metrics, including skin scaling scores, body weight, food intake, and organ weights (liver and kidney), were evaluated. The 5 % cream significantly reduced skin scaling scores from 2.80 ± 0.37 to 1.00 ± 0.00 after 7 days, outperforming the 10% formulation. Liver weights remained unaffected, while untreated lesions showed significantly different in kidney weight, suggesting potential adverse effects of untreated AD. The results, comparable to 1% hydrocortisone cream, indicate K. nemoralis as a promising natural treatment for inflammatory skin conditions. Further studies, including human trials and pharmacokinetic analyses, are recommended to confirm its clinical applicability
