This research addresses environmental concerns associated with petroleum-based products by synthesising bio-based benzoxazine monomers using renewable resources, such as coumaric acid, ferulic acid, and 2-(4-hydroxyphenyl) acetic acid, chosen for their distinct structural characteristics. The synthesis process employed a solvent-based method, and the monomers' chemical structures were confirmed using Fouriertransform infrared (FTIR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. Thermal stability and curing behaviour of the resultant polybenzoxazine materials were evaluated using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Results demonstrated that bio-based polybenzoxazines exhibited improved dimensional stability and thermal properties, with FEA-Bz showing the lowest polymerisation temperature due to the presence of methoxy groups.
