The Kuantan River Basin, a critical freshwater resource in Malaysia, faces escalating environmental pressures due to rapid industrialization and urbanization. This study evaluates key physicochemical parameters, including Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), turbidity, Total Suspended Solids (TSS), pH, salinity, temperature, and ammonia nitrogen (AN), to assess the basin's water quality and the impact of seasonal and anthropogenic factors. Water samples were collected from multiple sites across dry and wet seasons, employing standard analytical methods to identify spatial and temporal variations. The results revealed significant seasonal differences, with water quality dropping during the wet season. COD levels increased downstream and were higher during the wet season, while pH was lower in the wet season, indicating the influence of monsoondriven changes. The monsoon season was found to significantly affect pH and COD levels, highlighting the combined impact of natural and anthropogenic factors on water quality dynamics. These findings underscore the necessity for targeted water management strategies that address both seasonal variability and human-induced pollution. By providing a comprehensive analysis of water quality across the Kuantan River Basin, this research contributes valuable data to inform sustainable resource management and policy development
