According to the study, the removal efficiency of palm oil mill effluent (POME) was exceptionally high, with percentages for COD, turbidity, and O&G above 80%. Furthermore, in just 7 days, the Department of Environment's (DOE) strict regulations were met with amazing efficacy by the palm oil mill tertiary effluent (POMTE). The addition of activated carbon to the system produced significant increases in POMTE wastewater's color performance, which further enhanced color deterioration. These results highlight the potential of BECC systems as effective and long-lasting ways to treat wastewater from palm oil, providing useful advantages like energy generation in addition to environmental benefits like pollutant removal. Activated carbon integration offers a viable way to improve the treatment procedure, possibly resolving color issues and raising the general efficacy of wastewater treatment in the palm oil sector UR - https://umpir.ump.edu.my/id/eprint/47345 ER -
