The EDR reaction was examined over a temperature range of 600°C to 900°C and various feedstock ratios of ethanol to CO2, including 1:1 and 1:1.5. The spent catalysts underwent characterization and evaluation through XRD, FTIR, BET, and TGA analysis to explore alterations in morphology and coke deposition. The possible reaction mechanism was investigated using in-situ FTIR spectroscopy. The fibrous Ni/Zeolite-Y catalyst exhibited a unique fibrous morphology and demonstrated exceptional catalytic performance in the EDR process. The fibrous structure of FHY contributed to the remarkable distribution of NiO, improved metal-support interface, and strong basicity observed in Ni/FHY. This unique morphology played a crucial role in enhancing the accessibility of Ni active sites, leading to superior activity exhibited by Ni/FHY compared to Ni/HY.20aFaculty of Chemical and Process Engineering TechnologyxDissertations 0aUniversities and collegesxDissertations 0aThesesxDissertations uhttps://umpir.ump.edu.my/id/eprint/46979
