N2  - This study investigates the level of knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) regarding ergonomics among cleaning staff at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA). Cleaners are routinely exposed to ergonomic hazards such as awkward postures, repetitive movements, and prolonged physical exertion, all of which increase their risk of developing musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Despite the importance of ergonomics in reducing these risks, limited data exist on cleaners’ understanding and implementation of ergonomic principles. A cross-sectional survey was conducted using a structured questionnaire distributed to 105 cleaning staff. The questionnaire assessed demographic data, ergonomic knowledge, attitudes, and practices. The findings showed a high level of knowledge (mean = 4.43), a highly positive attitude (mean = 4.55), and strong ergonomic practices (mean = 4.47) among the respondents. Correlation analysis revealed significant positive relationships between ergonomic knowledge, attitudes, and practices. This study highlights that while cleaners at UMPSA demonstrate good awareness and application of ergonomic principles, continued training and organizational support are essential to reinforce safe work practices. The results provide a basis for developing targeted ergonomic interventions and policies aimed at improving occupational health, reducing work-related MSDs, and enhancing overall productivity in the cleaning sector
