Boleyn, a woman painter of France, suffered from an incurable disease. She lost her hope and passion for life. She was wandering around, trying to find a pure place to spend her remaining days and then left the world quietly. By coincidence, she came to Shiqiao, a Miao village in the deep mountains of Guizhou and stayed here after a strange combination of circumstances. Gradually Boleyn fell in love with the picturesque village and simple and unadorned Miao customs. The beautiful landscapes of shiqiao and the kind Miao people gave Boleyn the second life and a home at heart.
