A simple u-tensile model was drawn by computer aided design (CAD) software and was analyzed by finite element analysis (FEA) software. In this analysis, a variable amplitude loading has been used to analyze the fatigue life of spot welded. Linear elastic analysis was carried out to predict the stress state along the weld direction. The thickness range from 0.2-1.2 mm, while the spot of diameter from 3-9 mm has been used. Besides that, material model AISI 1015, 1020, 1040 and 1045 was used for optimization. After analyze and optimization, we found that the spot diameter 9 mm is the higher of fatigue life compared to 3 – 7 mm spot diameter while the higher of fatigue life for thickness is 1.2 mm. For different material, the higher of fatigue life is AISI 1045 material, followed by AISI 1040, 1020 and 1015. However the fatigue life decreases linearly with the increases of loads. 0aFatigue 0aWelded joints 0aElectric welding
