Now the stimulus package is reality, will this program be truly effectively and helpful towards construction sector? Therefore this study has been taken to analyze the effectiveness of stimulus package in construction sector. The objectives of this study are: to study the outlook of stimulus package in Malaysia; to determine the planning of stimulus package in construction sector; and to analyze the effectiveness of stimulus package in construction sector. The method of the study involved literature review, data collection and an average index method was used for analysis. The data were gathered through questionnaire only. The result of the study has identified that the respondents agreed the stimulus package in construction sector can reduce the rate of unemployment of contractors in construction sector, the package has managed to create demand and supply in the economy, helpfulness to the local contractors increasing employment opportunities, upgrading, repair & maintenance works and to strengthen the confidence of contractors. As a conclusion, the economic stimulus package is needed for Malaysia. The construction sector can become a formidable force in confronting the challenges ahead if the government’s efforts are reinforced with positive attitude, enhanced skills and knowledge and strong commitment from all stakeholders in the industry. 0aConstruction industryxManagement
