Clinical waste management is the important part of management for Malaysian hospital. Because of it, the study is conducted to identify the different type of clinical waste producing by three hospitals, Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan, Hospital Segamat and Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia. The management of clinical waste and disposal for three hospitals also determined. The study will lead into evaluating of factor contributing to successful management for clinical waste. Hospital visit are conducted at each hospital to get all data needed. At hospital, interview session and live performance of clinical waste handling are done. Different type of clinical waste and the whole process of clinical waste handling done by interview session and get the secondary data. Questionnaire is distributed to health-care personnel and hospital staff to evaluate the factor contributing the successful of clinical waste handling. The study were resulting on different type of clinical waste that theoretically known by health-care personnel and hospital staff. Comparison of clinical waste procedure between three hospitals was done and all can be compared to the SW 404 Regulation. The key point of factor contribute the success of clinical waste handling is from the satisfaction of hospital staff on health-care personnel’s work. Finally, each hospital is able to level the quality of clinical waste management by comparing with another hospital. The study can become as a guideline to the Concession Company and hospital to improve the quality of clinical waste management in hospital.
