<br/><br/> On December 2001, severe flood happened at the Kuantan town. Kuantan town is actually included in the Kuantan watershed. The main reason for the severe flood happened on that year is the heavy rainfall which stated by the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Pahang as an extraordinary rainfall. This is because the rainfall measured on that day is passing through the average monthly rainfall for Kuantan District. The dam development activity at the upstream of Kuantan River also made the flood become worst at town. Landsat-7 TM had been used in this study to determine the parameters values for the runoff rates calculations. The results of this study show that the runoff value on that day had increased 23%. The time of concentration and travel time for Cereh River also showed the increasing numbers where it is 49 and 8.7 in percents. -Author
