This project described about the process developement of fitting code software for assembly parts that user friendly in Small and Medium Entreprise field. Selection of fits based on what the industry commonly use which is hole-basis system and shaft-basis system. Type of fits include in this software are clearance fit, transition fit and interference fit. The programming language such as Microsoft’s Visual Basic.NET 2003 is used to develop this software. Fitting Code Software for Assembly Parts is standalone system that Microsoft Visual Basic.Net 2003 as the platform to develop interface and coding for this system. The source code that used in developing this system is capable with the interface and database structure. Based on the observations, fitting code are usually use in designing stage of manufacture hole and shaft. The fitting code contains the standard information oftolerances, allowance, limits and clearance for the assembly part. However, the aim of this work is only to develop the Fitting Code Software for assembly parts that will be applied for Shaft Basis System and Hole Basis System. It has some constraints in develop the software which are development constraints and system limitations. To enable user fill their own basic sizes, a large amount of data is required to store into the database. By using basic size of diameter as primary key, user are able to get the tolerance value and the value of maximum and minimum clearance or interference based on fit type they select. The limitations that have been faced are when this software used for other types of basis system rather than hole-basis and shaft-basis system since this software contains information on these two systems only. However, there is also some advantages of this software which are this software is a free version and very users friendly since the users only need to type the basic size and the results will appear as they want.
