This thesis is entitled the Whole Body Vibration exposure on the bus driver from Kuantan – Kuala Lipis. As the bus driver, most of their working times are sitting on the seat while they are driving. Long duration of exposure to whole body vibration while driving may lead them to have diseases and health problems especially low back pain to the bus driver. To solve this, whole body vibration exposure measurement has been done in order to evaluate the relation of whole body vibration exposure as a cause of lower back pain thus could create awareness among the bus driver regarding the whole body vibration exposure to them. The objective of this study is to measure and record, vibration exposures in the x,y,z axis directions to which occupational bus drivers are exposed measured. The vibration will be reported as root mean square (r.m.s) unit of m/s2. Next, bus drivers (respondent) will be asked to complete a questionnaire in order to indicate the prevalence, severity and the human sensation that would lead to lower back pain and all collected data will be compared to the exposure limit standard as per ISO2631 standards. From the measurement, it has found that for first bus driver daily exposure to vibration A(8) and Vibration Dose Value (VDV) were 0.744 m sec-2 and 13.569 m sec-1.75. While for the second bus were 0.8423 m sec-2 and 15.3611 msec-1.75 respectively. It can be concluded that whole body vibration absorbed by the express bus driver has been exceeding VDV minimum exposure value that could lead the driver feel the back pain during long distance of the journey.
