Echogram is an image of a structure that is produced by ultrasonography which is reflections of high-frequency sound waves. An echogram is a recording of depth or distance underwater made by an echo sounder. This project is aim to identify movement of fish based on echogram. The echogram obtained by a research at the South China Sea of Terengganu Malaysia using Furuno FQ-80 Scientific Echo Sounder. The data have been collected independently for commercial fish in Malaysia, there are Rastrelliger Kanagurta and DecapterusMeruadsi. Tsvalue.depth and position of specific target have been observed using echogram.Image echograms have been obtained from Furuno Software. Several files in the FURUNO Software echogram show records for different types of fish with the help FURUNO FQ-80 Scientific Echo Sounder. Every echogram contains the data of TS value, depth and the x-y-z value. From the information obtained by Furuno Software, the movement of fish can identify with image processing approach. Image processing works do by using MATLAB Software. The result from the image processing works produce the movement of the fish and the movement patterns of the two types of fishes.
