This project is motivated by an interest in using Programmable Logic Control (PLC) as a control system for a mini injection molding machine. PLC was used because it offers easy installation and alteration compare to other control system such as relays and computer control, at the same time PLC also can be reused by other system easily by creating new ladder diagram and downloads it to the current PLC. It will re-write the old program and perform the new system. In this study it consist of 3 important stages, which are developing the software, simulation process and also experimental process. Before that, a clear study on plastic injection molding process has been conducted to create a flowchart as a reference for developing the ladder diagram. Two different ladder diagrams were tested to get the most optimum one. These ladder diagram were tested with hydraulic system that imitate the real system of plastic injection molding machine. Time cycle of each ladder diagram has been taken, the result shows that the ladder 1 perform the sequences faster than ladder diagram 2. In conclusion, ladder diagram 1 can operate more repetitive cycle compare to ladder diagram 2. It can save cost, money and time for mini or large scale production
