<br/><br/> Tasik Chini is one of popular tourism site in Malaysia. It is located in the district of Pekan Pahang. However, lately improper developments in Tasik Chini watershed contribute to pollution. Watershed management using Geographical Information System (GIS) technique in Tasik Chini is a process of managing human activities in the Tasik Chini watershed area in order to protect and rehabilitate land, water, flora and fauna. This research is important to give initial information of pollution level to the local authorities that manage Tasik Chini such as Sustainable Development Network Malaysia (SUSDEN) and Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID). The Tasik Chini watershed was mapped by GIS using ArcView 3.3 version. The database about pollution level, water level and human activity were established. The data have been collected from August to October. From the database of pollution level, geographic distribution of pollution level has been analyzed. The analysis showed that in the dry season, high pollutant happen at PLKN area. Meanwhile, in the wet season high pollutant has been detected at PLKN and Tanjung Puput area. The physical aspect of water quality in Tasik Chini indicates that it is under stress. That is why such long term data gathering is needed in order to protect Tasik Chini heritage. -Author
