Water is the most essential nutrient to life. Availability of water for cleansing is directly to control or elimination of disease. The quality of water depends on their chemical and physical characteristization which can define as the water was safe and clean. In other to obtain excellent quality of water for consumption, a good water treatment system that will not affected by contaminant that can reduce the water quality. In Tekek Village, the people get the water supply by Gravity Feed System (GFS) but the water supply does not enough to support the water demand from population. Therefore, this study was carried out to determine the tube well water quality based on the physical, chemical and biological parameters. The sampling was conducted during dry and rainy season between 2015 and 2016. Water samples were collected from 3 stations that located in Tekek Village and analysed using standard methods. The parameters tested referred to the Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater which was jointly published by American Public Health Association (APHA), the American Water Works Association (AWWA), and the Water Environment Federation (WEF) in 2012. The results showed that pH, Total Suspended Solid (TSS), Turbidity, and Ammonia Nitrogen (NH3N) were within the standard acceptable level of Malaysia Drinking Water Quality Standard (MDWQS) for drinking water purpose. However for the biological parameters which are Total Coliform and E-coli bacteria showed that result were exceeding the maximum acceptable values based on MDWQS. While for the heavy metal parameter, the results show that only Iron (Fe), Manganese (Mn), Zinc (Zn) and Copper (Cu) were within the standard acceptable level of MDWQS for drinking water purpose but the result shown that Lead (Pb) does not following the maximum acceptable value for drinking water. The method of analysis of groundwater that was used is Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) to analysis the concentration of heavy metal in water sample. Therefore, the minimum water treatment was needed to make sure Pb could be removed from water. In generally the water sample from station 1 and 2 were categorized as Class I meanwhile for the station 3 it was under Class II based on Water Quality Index (WQI). Therefore, the water from station 1, 2 and 3 can be categorized as clean water but it needed a natural water treatment to remove bacteria that presence in water.
