The most common scales are barium sulfate(BaSO4) and calcium carbonate (CaCO3), Strontium Sulfate (SrSO4), and iron compound such as FeCO3, FeS, Fe(OH)2, and Fe(OH)3. This research mainly focuses on molecular dynamic simulation for dissolution of both calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and ferrous sulfide (FeS) in oil and gas reservoirs and pipes using chelating agents. There have been many ways of getting rid of these scales such as mechanical cleaning, using acidic solvent as HCl. A modern appropriate is by using solvent agent with which the metal scales are dissolved making chelates. The way of using solvent agent is used to dissolve the scales in oil and gas fields. The most common solvent agents are chelating agents. Chelating agents have been effectively approved to be an alternative for the dissolution of these kind of scales. That is due to the less corrosive properties of it comparing to the acids that has been used. By conducting this research, the inter-molecular interaction for of both calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and ferrous sulfide (FeS) with the GLDA chelating agent is explained and illustrated. The main condition for the simulation are the same as underground oilfield conditions which are 90 ̊ C and 136 atm using Material Studio 7.0 software. Finally, the radial distribution function (RDF) was analysed and sketched for connections between scales metal ions (Ca2+, Fe2+) with atoms in GLDA chelating agent ER -
