The purpose of this study is to investigate the capability and performance of submerged leaves species to remove and remediate contaminant substances such as metal and other organic material which attend in the water sample collected. Submerged plants such as Hydrilla Verticillata Sp. (Esthwaite Waterweed) and Myriophyllum Aquaticum Sp. (Parrot’s Feather) are used to remove contaminants in water using phytoremediation process. The water parameters that be tested in this research is Biochemical Oxygen Demand, Chemical Oxygen Demand, Suspended Solid, and pH, Turbidity, Dissolved Oxygen and Heavy Metal. The study revealed that Hydrilla Verticillata is the best and most effective submerged plants species that used phytoremediation process to remove contaminant compare to Myriophyllum Aquaticum.20aFaculty of Civil Engineering and Earth ResourcesxDissertations 0aUniversities and CollegesxDissertations 0aTheses
