However, in parallel with progress in the construction industry is booming, various alternatives for cost reduction have been undertaken. The discoveries of synthetic products such as concrete and steel have been identified for use in construction. However, there are some techniques to repair and add strength to the timber so that can reduce the size of the beam, allowing the use of weaker species of timber and indirectly create the timber supply that is more efficient and orderly. Besides that, timber describes a complex analysis problems and a significant uncertainty that has many parameters that affect the structural behavior. With the invention of high-speed computers and the package details the powerful finite element method, this complex issue can be addressed. The objective is to obtain the analysis of bending strength of the beams strength of strengthened timber using finite element computer modeling and to validate the accuracy data from finite element analysis with the experimental data. So the LUSAS software is chosen since it is friendly to be used and operate. It aims to contribute to a better understanding and modeling of the Steel- timber bond behavior and shows the results of timber specimens strengthened with different types of strengthening methods. Three-dimensional model is generated and linear analysis using the finite element package LUSAS is presented. There are 3 modeling that used to model in LUSAS Software which are control beam, strengthened timber beam with steel rod and strengthened timber beam with steel rod and steel plate. This study describes the finite element model to know about the characteristics of the linear behavior of steel rod strengthened timber in different types of strengthening method. The experimental results were used to calibrate the existing model. In conclusion, the research described in this study related to the development of numerical models for analyzing the behavior of strengthened timber beam with steel. The use of steel to strengthen the timber beams were examined using LUSAS by conducting in which the analytical studies. The numerical analysis model developed, which is a simplification of the actual experimental model, leading to satisfactory values when compared to those obtained experimentally, thus demonstrating their validity. The stress distribution behavior and load deflection analysis were observed in this analysis. It mainly focused on the bending strength of strengthened timber beam. Proved that, in this case, the strengthened timber with steel rod and plate presented significant gain in bending strength, in comparison with both non-strengthened beam and the strengthened only with steel rod. In addition, the finite element model has been validated with experimental data that has been represented by a load-deflection plot in the middle of the range ER -
