The health and well- being of communities is often not considered as a priority of urbanization. Sustainability principle in housing developments is perceived to be able to increase and to improve the quality of living. Most cities in Malaysia experience hit humid climate during most part of the year. The aims of this research are to investigate the potential of wind environment for natural ventilation of neighborhood area in Kuantan. Analyses of wind environment for period July 2009 until June 2010 were made in terms of wind direction and wind speed. The result showed wind speed of study areas have not enough for implementation at pedestrian level based on Murakami and Morikawa, (1985) guideline.
