520 3 _aHybrid nanofluid is a new type of nanotechnology fluid synthesised from two types of nanoparticles that are uniformly and stably suspended in the base fluid. Hybrid nanofluids are used in a variety of engineering and industrial applications because they have good thermal properties compared to conventional heat transfer fluids. This thesis presents the numerical solutions and stability analysis of the convective boundary layer flow and heat transfer flow on the 2 3 Cu  Al O /water-Eyring-Powell hybrid nanofluid over different stretching/shrinking geometric surfaces are presented. Five geometric surfaces were analysed: an inclined plate with radiative heat flux, a Riga plate with Newtonian heating, a disc with a convective boundary condition and a magnetic field, a cylinder with Joule heating and a magnetic field, and a wedge with thermal radiation and Joule heating. The mathematical model that governs the boundary layer flow of the Eyring-Powell hybrid nanofluid is represented by the continuity, momentum and energy equations that are formed in the partial differential equations. These equations are then converted into ordinary differential equations using the similarity transformation. The resulting equations are then solved numerically using the bvp4c function in the MATLAB software. The numerical results obtained are presented in the form of tables and graphs. In addition, the effects of various physical parameters on the local skin friction coefficient, the local Nusselt number, the velocity profiles and the temperature profiles are presented. The combination of copper ( Cu ) and alumina ( 23 Al O ) nanoparticles with water as the base fluid is modelled using the single-phase model and modified thermophysical properties of the nanofluid. For all problems, the model is validated by comparing the numerical values for specific cases with previously published results. In all cases, a suction parameter is applied through a permeable surface to induce laminar flow in the opposite region to counteract buoyancy and shrinkage. To achieve a solution, it is necessary to maintain an average high suction force of S > 2. The numerical results show that increasing the volumetric concentration of copper, the suction parameter, the electromagnetohydrodynamic (EMHD) parameter and the Falkner-Skan power law parameter can help to delay boundary layer separation. Conversely, an increase in the curvature parameter accelerates separation. It is noteworthy that variations in the Eckert number and the Biot number have no influence on the critical value. A higher suction strength improves the heat transfer performance of the hybrid nanofluid; however, a higher concentration of copper decreases the heat transfer rate. On a shrinking surface, the heat transfer rate increases due to the combined effects of thermal radiation and the volume fraction of the nanoparticles. Other factors that can improve the heat transfer rate are the EMHD parameter, the magnetic parameter and the Biot number. The stability of the dual solution is evaluated by solving the eigenvalue problem during the stability analysis. The stability analysis shows that the first solution is more realistic than the second solution. This research contributes to the theory of dual solutions in boundary layer flow and the integration of non-Newtonian hybrid nanofluids with complex geometries can further improve boundary layer theory and heat transfer modelling, leading to innovative solutions in thermal management, materials processing, biomedical fluid dynamics and aerodynamics.
