However, to maintain reputation, productivity, and worker welfare, employers must take proactive measures to reduce the impact and frequency of workplace injuries. This study focuses on assessing the knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) levels among construction workers regarding the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and its relationship with the frequency of injuries at construction sites. A quantitative approach was employed by distributing questionnaires to 84 workers at a construction site in Shah Alam, Selangor. In addition to evaluating the KAP levels related to PPE usage, the study also identified the current injury conditions experienced by workers, including the types, locations, frequency, and severity of injuries. The findings of the study revealed that higher levels of knowledge, positive attitudes, and consistent practices in PPE usage were closely associated with a reduction in injury frequency among workers. This study recommends the implementation of more comprehensive safety training programs, the provision of high-quality PPE, and a stronger emphasis on promoting a safety-oriented workplace culture. The findings are expected to assist the construction industry in enhancing occupational safety policies and ultimately reducing the rate of accidents on construction sites.
