520 3 _aWork-life balance refers to the capacity to harmoniously integrate personal and professional responsibilities without excessive interference between the two. Meanwhile, "Quality of life" refers to an individual's or community's overall well-being and contentment in their daily lives. Determine the challenges millennials and Generation Z in the IT sector face in achieving work-life balance is crucial because it is becoming increasingly common for members of Generation Z and millennials to express their difficulties in maintaining a healthy work-life balance on social media platforms, where they also discuss their concerns and frustrations. This study investigates the impact of work-life balance on the quality of life comparison among millennial and generation Z employees in the I.T sector. The researcher conducted cross-sectional survey over 108 employess in the chosen IT company. To compare worklife balance between the two generations, a Mann-Whitney U test was used, yielding a pvalue of 0.104. This result indicates no statistically significant difference in work-life balance between Millennials and Generation Z employees. However, a significant difference was found in quality of life scores (p = 0.049), with Millennials reporting a higher perceived quality of life (mean rank = 60.10) than Generation Z (mean rank = 48.25). Spearman’s rho correlation analysis further revealed a weak but statistically significant positive relationship between work-life balance and quality of life for both Millennials (r = 0.500, p = 0.000) and Generation Z (r = 0.384, p = 0.005). These findings suggest that while both groups perceive a link between work-life balance and quality of life, the effect is more pronounced among Millennials. Overall, the results underscore the importance of promoting balanced work environments to enhance employee well-being across generations in the IT sector.
