520 3 _aMeasurements of water saturation in porous media are essential in many types of studies. The constitutive relationship between pressure and saturation (PS) is one of the usual way to describe two-phase flow in porous media. When the PS relation is understood well, this will help the researchers to easily design the contaminant remediation process or model the immiscible flow. Unfortunately, there are no data available for these relationships for double porosity soil. The measurements of PS relationship are often difficult, time consuming to measure and very complex. The purpose of this research is to apply the light transmission visualisation (LTV) method to measure the P-S relationship for porous media. This will be beneficial to investigate whether PS relationship can be obtained. Two experiments were conducted with the same type of procedure but in different type of soil medium. One is double porosity soil which are S300 kaolin clay sphere ball filled with Ottawa sand and the other one is single porosity soil which is Ottawa sand only. P-S curve in this experimental study were produced through image analysis. The image analysis method to obtain the curve is LTV which consist of light box with acrylic chamber on it. Image taken in this experimental study is using DLSR Nikon camera and analysed by using Image-Pro Premier 9.1 software. After result has been analysed, they were exported to Microsoft Excel and graph between pressure and saturation were plotted. When the relationship between PS were developed, they were compared between both double porosity soil and single porosity soil. Regarding to the obtained results for both experiments, different type of soil sample used will affect the time taken to reach the top of the acrylic chamber. Shorter time was used for single porosity soil.
